Mandalas about life and death...

Mandalas are about healing. After a recent bereavement (my brother Clive who was so full of life passed away unexpectedly and alone), I began to look for solace in sacred literature and stories and mandalas.... I chanced upon a series of images in my camera, which somehow seemed to "speak" about the experience...

So here they are:

A black mandala (for grief and power?) showing the quadrants in the wheel of life and its textures...

Flowers from friends - 

White for the spiritual, green for life that needs to be celebrated...

Black, white and shades of grey... which is what we are all about

Birds (the spirit) flying free above the web of life (represented by the trees)

Clive would have hated the sentimentality of the posts above. He liked to entertain, to feed his family and friends and to enjoy the little things in life, so this one's for you Clive, with love and thanks ...
